The last Corvette has finally been removed from a giant sinkhole which swallowed 8 historic Corvettes on the night of 12FEB14. The "Great 8" classic Corvettes were on display in the Skydome section of the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The hole opened up in the middle of the night so no one was injured.
Now that the cars have all been removed, repairs can be made to fill and close the giant sinkhole which measured 12 meters across and 16 meters deep.
Barrier walls with plexiglass viewing windows have been installed so that visitors to the museum can watch as repairs are being made to the area.
